Country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Bangladesh

.BD domain is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Bangladesh. It is administered by BTCL (Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited).

Any person / organization from all over the world can apply for registration of domain bd and it takes three to five working days to active the domain upon submitting order. DOT BD Domain can be registered at first for two years and subsequently renewable for further periods. We support submitting order for minimum 2 years.

Required Documents

National ID/ Passport & Registrant Signature
For .edu/ .ac need approval letter/document from concern authority (i.e.: UGC/Education board/Technical board/Madrasha board/ Ministry of Education etc).
For .edu.bd need Forwarding letter from concern authority. Forwarding letter should be in favor of: Divisional Engineer (A&C), BTCL, Moghbazar Telephone Bhaban Dhaka-1217.
For .org need approval letter/document from NGO bureau/ Ministry of Social welfare etc.
For Govt. Office/ Institute need application to Chief Engineer of BTCL, permission letter on Institution’s official pad along with seal and signature and photocopy of National ID card.
